“One year ago, Louie came into our lives. Traumatized, underweight, and frightened of everything – even a bowl of water. He had arrived in Canada only that week, having been transported by plane to Toronto with a couple of other little ones. Not surprisingly, he was especially afraid of people. Now, after a few training courses with an amazing trainer (Kean’s K-9 Obedience & Behaviour Training), a stable and safe home, and lots of love and patience, he’s four and half pounds heavier, much calmer, and less afraid. He’s learning how to play and developing good social skills, and although he’s got a ways to go, his progress has been remarkable! His courage and grit are inspiring, and he has enriched our life immeasurably. Louie the lion-hearted.
